Melanoma & Melanoma Surgery

Skin cancer surgeon John B. Harris, MD, provides Melanoma surgery once the skin cancer diagnosis is confirmed in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

If you think you may have skin cancer or are concerned about Melanoma, please call us for a screening, biopsy for Melanoma diagnosis, and consultation for Melanoma. Skin cancer surgeon John B. Harris, MD, diagnoses Melanoma skin cancer and provides the surgical management of early Melanoma and other skin cancers.

My doctor has told me I have Melanoma; what should I do?

The diagnosis of Melanoma is a serious medical situation that requires input from experienced doctors with a team approach. FFSCC’s Dr. Harris, who has over 30 years of experience, is an expert in managing early Melanoma. Once you receive the diagnosis of Melanoma, there is a tremendous amount of information Dr. Harris and your team at the FFSCC will review with you. There are many treatment options to be carefully thought through and discussed. If your Melanoma is considered “thin,” then recommended treatment may be a wide local excision requiring the removal of further skin margins, which can usually be accomplished under local anesthesia at the FFSCC. Dr. Harris will discuss your treatment pathway by reviewing the pathology report received from your dermatologist or primary care physician.

I have been a patient of Dr. Harris for melanoma and all my other skin cancer needs. Last year we found a thin melanoma that was easily removed. Because of the biopsy at the Florida Facelift and Skin Cancer Center my melanoma was caught early. After surgery by a plastic surgeon no further treatment was needed and the scar was smaller than my previous melanoma. The staff at the Florida Facelift and Skin Cancer Center provide the utmost care and are extremely thorough and professional. Thank-you for keeping me safe!
