Temporal Brow Lift
Plastic surgeon John B. Harris, MD, performs the temporal brow lift and facial rejuvenation surgery under local anesthesia in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
The temporal brow lift or upper facelift is one of the best rejuvenation procedures for tired appearing eyes and sunken lower eyelid areas. Dr. Harris has pioneered this upper facial rejuvenation technique over the last 20 years performing over a thousand procedures with minimal recovery time and side effects.
The temporal lift is an excellent operation for younger patients in their 30s and 40s when the first signs of aging appear, especially in the upper face and lateral brow area where hooding of the brow tissue over the upper eyelid can give a tired and weary appearance. The temporal lift corrects these early signs of aging without undergoing a more invasive procedure.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with an incision behind the hairline without removing any hair. Through a small curvilinear incision placed behind the hairline, the tissues of the upper face and cheek area can be lifted, providing very significant improvement. This operation helps diminish the “hollowing” underneath the eyes; it can elevate the lower eyelid position for patients who have had previous lower eyelid surgery that was overdone by removing lower eyelid skin and excess lower eyelid fat. The lifting is performed in the deep tissues beneath the skin and provides for natural elevation and support. This surgical result offers longer-lasting improvement without significant discomfort and downtime. The temporal lift may be the most versatile and effective of all minimally invasive rejuvenating procedures.
